problem with NG messages

Using Office 2003PE with XP Home.
When I list NG messages, they appear as normal without any indication of
attachments. However, when I try to read one, it actually appears as an
attachment to a blank message! This happens every time. E-mail messages are
not affected.

Since Outlook uses Outlook Express as its newsreader, your issue is really
an OE issue. Try reposting in an OE newsgroup. If your news server doesn't
carry one (search for "express" and you should find the OE groups), connect
to the msnews.microsoft.com server and you'll find it there.
