Problem with report - need to suppress records

Developed report with a sub report with the data coming from the same table.
The Contract # is the linked field.

If a contract has no change orders I do not want it to print the original
contract info on the report. If I go to query and put "is not null" in the
CO field I get nothing.

What I need is every record that has a change order(sub report), I need the
record to print, but also need to have original contract information(main
report) to print, if there is a change order.

Hope this makes sense that someone could direct me on what I need to do to
get this to work. Thanks

in the recordset for your main report, link to the change order table
but do not choose any fields -- this will limit records to just those
that HAVE on or more records in the change order table...
