Problem with Start and Finish Dates

Jerry

My start and finish dates in MS Project 2007 are not calculating
correctly when I change my duration. It works Ok when the duration is
1 day, but gets screwed up for anything greater than that. For
example, I changed a duration from 1 day to 3 days, but the finish
date that is calculated by Project is for a duration of 4 days.

Most likely, they are calculating correctly. If you change the date
format to show time of day, are all tasks starting at 8am (assuming
you're using the default workday of 8-5)? Check to see when your tasks
are starting and finishing in minutes and see if the problem isn't
revealed.

Hope this helps in your world.

Jerry,
Many things can interact between dates and time span. Are you using the
standard calendar? What is the setting for the hours/per day under
Tools/Options/Calendar tab? Is this occurring on a task line or a
summary line?
