Problems creating pdf files

I am using Word via a Citrix server. I have had no luck creating pdf files
(my company has us using Adobe Acrobat version 4). I have done an end run
around the absence of controls for Acrobat Distiller by installing a dummy
Agfa (Postscript) printer and printing to a .ps file. Every file I have
created and dropped in Distiller comes out with changed margins, shifting
every page a little further down.
Formatting of these files is critical (they are being created for press
printing). I am using job options set up especially for the printing company
we are using. Anyone have a clue why this keeps happening?

Thanks for the advice, Chuck. Unfortunately, downloading any additional
software is strictly prohibited by Delta Technologies, and that is not
available as an option for me. Does anyone know of any advanced options that
will preserve my formatting through the printing process. I have a very
vague understanding of how Word 2000 lays out the document in a way to match
what I will see when it is printed (WYSIWYG). So somewhere along the way, I
should be able to set some options to print exactly what I have formatted. I
have exhausted all the possibilities that I can think of.
