Problems dynamically linking two projects

I am running two projects. One I use for update and for day to day use. The
other is a cleaned up easy to read version for upper management. The two are
dynamically linked so that when I do my changes the second automatically
updates for management to read. My problem is multiple errors that come up
when I start the second project "Project cannot connect to link "[project
path & file] LINK_810".
This is deemed unacceptable. Can you help?

The dynamic links in project are old and fragile. I suggest using
interproject links instead.
Another better option is to avoid links completely and create a view for
management.
You can filter and format for management and have that view available at a
single click.

You should first create a table with the columns you want, Then a filter
which will filter to show only the tasks you want (use a flag field for this
if you like so you can flag only the tasks you want to show)
Then create a view which uses that table and filter. You can then format the
view to make it look however you like. Then switch back to the gantt view to
do your day to day work. When you switch back to the management view you
will have your clean view still there.

Jack has your best solution, a view.
Linking errors in your file typically come from a moved file.
If you need to (or desire to) maintain two separate files, make sure the two
files live in fixed locations. This is because the file path should be
considered part of the file name.

We require that all the project files that are linked be all in the same
folder. We require the folder to travel entirely together at all times, no
movement of individual files. Meticulous attention to detail is what will
avoid the error.

In the meantime, you will need to correct this error prior to creating a
"Management View"
