Problems syncing with new PC

I sync my Dell Axim X50V with my PC at home and my PC at work. This has not
been a problem until I was given a new PC at work this week. I loaded the
ActiveSync software (v 3.7) on the new machine, deleted the redundant
partnership for my old work PC, and set up it up again. Nothing untoward.

When I got home and connected the PDA to my PC, it told me that these
machines had never been synced before and did I want to combine entries, use
the ones on PC or stop. As I had not made any new entries of significance, I
chose the second option which also meant that I lost a couple of entries that
were on the PDA but this wasn't a major problem.

The following day at work, I got the same message, telling me that the
machines had not been synced before and giving me the same options.

Then, when I got home today, my home PC said the same thing.

I've done a soft reboot of my Axim but it's getting to the point that each
time I connect the PDA, it tries to sync from scratch and so new entries that
are only on the PDA are getting deleted each time.

What can I do? Can I delete the partnerships and start again? If so, how do
I do that and will it help?

Any suggestions are welcomed.
