problems with office 97

Hi when i try to save an
office 97 doc it will only save with the first letter of the
file name ????

Also when i try to change fonts on office 97 it
states the font does not exist, same with default fonts

runing with win xp
what up?????

I'm going to guess that you have these problems in Word 97. Make sure
Word 97 is closed. Start Windows Explorer, and browse to the
winword.exe file on your hard drive (it should be somewhere under
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office). Right-click on winword.exe, and
left-click on Properties | Compatibility | uncheck the "Run this program
in compatibility mode for" box | OK. This should fix the filename
problem. The font problem may also be related, so see if it goes away
too... if it doesn't, write back.
