I experienced a computer crash and had to remove
everything/all programs from my computer. Now I am in the
process of reinstalling all of my programs and I have
misplaced my Cert of Authenticity for my Office 97 Pro
Edition that I need to register the product when I
reinstall it. How can I obtain this info? I have nothing
on my computer that will identify it. Please provide an
immediate response as I use my computer constantly and
need to get my Office back up to speed. Thanks very much
in advance; have a great day!

You're SOL.
Loosing the COA is like loosing the whole package. In
fact, loosing the COA is WORSE than loosing the CD. Your
COA may work with thousands of CD's. There are only a
half-dozen types of Office CD's. It's the COA's that are
unique. That's why you sometimes find COA's sold on eBay.
The COA is what entitles you to the product. If you have
your COA, you could legally borrow a friend's CD to do
the install, as long as you each have unique COA's and
the same package of Office.
