program trying to access email messages

I have a pop up message displayed that says "A program is
trying to access email messages you have stored in
Outlook, do you wish to allow this? I am using Outlook
2000 on XP, and the pop up happens without any common
events and or programs.

Are you on a network? Do you have some kind of
synchronization happening? Like with a server? or with
a Palm Pilot?

Yes I am on a LAN but no synchronization with a server,
just pop. I do use a plam pilot, but it is not connected
to the base.

this could be because of the Service pack which you installed on outlook
2000. It is supposed to be a security feature within outlook.!!! i believe
it can only be undone by unistalling and reinstallng outlook
