Project 2003 and Outlook Workflow User Documentation

Does anyone know of any good references (microsoft or other) that provide a
good synopsis of the workflow for managing projects using Project 2003 and
Outlook 2003? I am looking to see a standardized process for creating and
maintaining project information using these 2 tools.

Entire consulting practices are built around this subject. Standardizing project management practices is generally termed "project management methodology" and there are no definitive references on the subject - only because you have to adapt methodologies to your organizations business rules. That's where the consulting comes in.

If you want to buy a book to get started I would suggest Gary Chefetz and Dale Howard's "Administering an Enterprise PMO with MS Project Server" and "Managing Enterprise Projects with MS Project Server".
