Project cannot be saved

MikeS

I'm trying to publish updates to an existing project. I
have tried all the publishing options available (Entire
project, Republish Assignments, Updates only) with the
same result. I get this error:
[The project cannot be saved. You can't save
project "projectname" because it is chekced out
to "User5". You must check out the project to save your
changes.]
The problem is that I AM logged in as User5 and the admin
page does indeed show that I have the project checked out.
I guess it should show that I have it checked out as I
have it open for update.
Thoughts????

1. Go to PWA and Click on Admin ( view)
2. Click on "Manage enterprise features"
3. Click on Check in enterprise projects ( its in the left
navigation)
4.Click on the project which u are trying to save

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply. I know about the Admin Check In
Project function and I do actually see that I have the
project checked out. Trouble is that I get this message
when I FIRST try to publish the updates (that is I'm
actively updating the project and Professional tells me
it can't save the project because its checked out by
ME!!)
Thoughts?????

Mike:

Instead of opening the project, let Project open it during the update
process. Does that make a difference?
