Project crashes when linking to Resource Pool

I am using Project Pro 2003 SP2. I have several projects in a Master Project
and am attempting to insert a couple more. When I try to share resources from
the pool to these projects MS Project immediately crashes.

What could be causing this?

Besides using the projects own resources is there a workaround for it?

Most likely the Resource pool or a project has corrupted. Have you or anyone
ever moved a project, renamed it, over-written it with a copy taken away on
laptop or swapped files without first removing the project from the pool and
saving both projects? If yes to any of these, a corruption is the most
likely cause.

Set all projects to use their own resources whilst the pool is open.
Delete the pool
Create a new, blank project for the pool and re-attach all projects again.
Save the pool and all projects.

Rod,

I solved the problem. Here it is for anyone else that comes across it.

Previously, when sharing resources from the pool I would select the pool as
the source and gave the pool preference for resource and calendar conflict
resolution. I simply switched that preference over to the sharer and
everything worked, no crashes. Not 100% sure this will adversely affect my
resource management capability (it doesn't seem to), but if it doesn't I will
prefer to be "blissfully ignorant" of the whole thing.

Thanks,

Kevin
