Project file becomes read-only

I'm running Project Pro 2003 and have had this issue with the last few
projects that I've created. Most of the time everything works fine but
occasionally when I'm making changes and go to save, I get the message that
my project file is read-only and the save-as dialog pops up. The only way I
can save is to create a new project file. I haven't been able to correlate
this to any particular action or change. If anyone has an idea why this
happens and what I can do to make is stop, I'd appreciate it.

Chris,
The most likely cause for this is that someone else has the file open
when you open it. It should say (Read Only) in the caption but you may
not notice it until you attempt to save.

Are you sure that anybody else (on the network) didn't open the project file
in read-write mode just before you?
