Is it possible to create a data entry form for people to enter the project
basics and automatically transfer this information into project? Basically,
I need to simplify the data entry aspect of project so that the sales force
will utilize this tool. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The idea of a sales person scheduling a project is frightening!!

However, with Project 2002+ you can export a one task schedule to Excel as a
project template. Then it's easy for users to enter basic data in Excel that
is easily imported to project.

Yes, we do this sometimes with VBA. Users just click an icon, and a nice
form pops up that they can fill in. The form can also display logos, as well
as non-editable calculated values.

It really makes data input a lot friendlier than a flat table, and it also
aids in analysis.
