project printed in pdf checkmarks print out as blocks

I am printing a ms project plan in adobe pdf and the checkmarks that indicate
it is 100 completed print out as black boxes. How can I fix this to print it
as a checkmark?

Hello Yeab2003,

I am not terribly familiar with the ins and outs of adobe programs but
have seen similiar problems in pritning out Project plans on old
printers. I believe the problem may be related to the symbol font which
project is using and adobe doesn't correctly read.

I suggest checking the adobe site for additional information on
correcting font problems.
