I know I can see the duration of a split in the Gantt Chart view - however I
would like to know if the duration of the split (data) can be viewed in a
column? I am using Project 2002. If it's different in Project 2003 lplease
let me know that also. Thank you very much (PS I am teaching a class and
would love to be able to provide the answer asap. Thank you very much.

training,
If I understand you correctly you would like to see the time (duration)
of the non-working time (split) itself. This time is not directly
available in any view of any version of Project (although I can't speak
for Server). However, the information can be generated via some
relatively simple VBA code and written into a spare field.

Hope this helps.

Hi training,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

There is no field for split duration, so it can't be done from within
Project.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://www.mvps.org/project/

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)

Thank you Mike and John for your prompt response. I wasn't sure if the
feature was available and was researching through help... this will save me
time knowing it's not available.
