Project Start and Finish Date

Hi,

Does anybody know how to set the start and finish date
for a project at the same time? A mean, in Project
Professional in the "Project Information" option you can
only set the start date or the finish date, but not both
of them.

So is there a way to set both dates?

Project calculates the finish date by using the start date and the duration
of the activities. You can not set the finish date directly. You could put a
must finish on constraint after all the chains of tasks. That would in
effect define your project finish.
My point here is that the finish dates are the result of the task durations
and schedule logic. The point of using project is that it will figure these
dates out for you..
