Project Startup options

Hello,

We are about to upgrade from Project 2000 to 2003. When you open Project
2003, the Project Guide toolbar and a Tasks task pane open automatically. I
want neither of these options visible for all users when Project opens but
our IT people are telling me that this is not something that can be
configured.

Is this the case, and if not, could you let me know how it's done?

Hi,

You need 2 actions
Tools, Options, General, uncheck "Show Startup Task pane"
Tools, Options, Interface, uncheck Display Project Guide

Thanks for the response, I understand how to turn it off on a user by user
basis, but what I want to know is if it is possible to disable these options
for all users so when a new user opens Project for the first time and every
subsequent time, Project starts without these settings being active.

Either you can send new Global.mpt to the users with these settings or they
will have to do it individually.
It is store in the Global.mpt file
