Project Summary Duration in Fraction

V

Vinayak Bhat

Initially I was getting the tasks duration in fractions.

Then I have set the tools-->options and calendar duration properly.

Although it has been corrected at the task level the project summary is
still showing in fraction. How do I correct them

thanks very much in advance.

There is no way you can get a summary task such as the Project Summary to
ALWAYS show in whole day increments. Imagine you have a 1 day task that
starts Monday at 8am and ends Monday at 5pm. You have a second 1 day task
that starts Monday at 1pm and ends Tuesday at 12 noon. Both of those tasks
are 1 day tasks because each of them requires exactly 8 working hours to
complete. But the summary duration is 1.5 days because that's the elapsed
working time according to the calendar between when the first task started
and when the second task ended. Having it show as either 1 or 2 whole days
would be inaccurate.
