Project taskbar

I am new to Project. I just downloaded the trial version of it. I have
entered my tasks in, but don't see what I can do next. I don't see any task
bars to click on for options. I believe the next step is to set up and then
allocate the resources and the costs associated with it, but I don't see any
buttons that I can click on that will get me from the to do list.

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup

I assume you're using Project 2007 Standard version. Click the View menu
and select Show Project Guide. Then click on the blue hyperlinks in turn
and follow the guidance given.
