We are in the construction field and are looking for a
way for our superintendents to manage deployment of
employees. Does MSProject include a "leveling" tool.
Ex: Project start date changes and we need to move
employees around...

Hi Snow,

MS Project does offer built-in leveling. It will make quite a few decisions
for you and will not have a particular focus on location or length of time
to a job. If you want this kind of sophistication, I would strongly
recommend you test the functionality first and see if it fits your needs.

Hello Bill,

Thank you for your quick response. I've tried to
download the trail version but am having some
difficulty. I also have a CD, but can't load that either.

Please elaborate a bit more on your difficulties. Related to installing
the program? Or running it?

To get a good intro on Project, it also would be probably be of value
for you to scan one of the books about Project. Check at a local
bookstore that stocks computer books. From a book you'll get a sense of
the possibilities, and then by using the trial version you can
experience for yourself.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
