Project2003 - Why does the time change when one adds resources?

I seem to have a problem with the time setting that changes when I add my
resources. For instance: I have a task running for 30 days starting June 1.
As soon as I add resources, this ending date would come down to the middle of
June.

I also seem to lose some dates. Within this 30 day cycle, I might even end
up in October - still being 30days from 1June. I have checked my holidays -
Seems OK.

I suspect you are adding multiple resources which should be able to complete
the work in a shorter Duration. You might like to have a look at my series
