project95 and windows xp

i'm not sure how I did it, but i was once able to download project 95 on my
new computer which was running XP, and then upgrade to 98.
now I have purchased a new laptop, and when i try to run a:setup.exe, i get
a formatting screen.......
what's up with this?
I have 98 upgrade to go along with 95, but I need to download 95 first?
your help will be greatly appreciated

Bayroof,
I don't know what you mean by "download". None of the Project versions
are legally downloadable from any website. If the Project 98 version you
have is an upgrade (i.e. not a stand alone version), then yes, you will
need to first load Project 4.1 (i.e. Project 95/97) before upgrading to
Project 98. If you do not have an original stand alone version of
Project 4.1, you might want to look at one of the on-line auctions for a
reasonably priced stand alone version of Project 98 or 2000.

i meant load from floppy's......... a 6-7 disc set,
the problem is that there's something wrong with the discs themselves....
