properties in open dialog box

How do I turn off the caption box of properties that comes up when the arrow
is on a document in the open dialog box? This gets in my way of looking for a
document.

This is a Windows setting: In an Explorer window Tools | Folder Options |
View: "Show popup description for folder and desktop items."
