protect folder but allow subfolders?

This is really Windows, not just Word, but is there a way to set security on
a folder that allows users to create files & sub-folders, but not rename or
delete the main folder?

As you said, this is a Windows question. Best ask in a Windows newsgroup, and
be sure to mention the VERSION of Windows and whether you run on a network.
