Pub 2.0h

I just came across a copy of Publisher 2.0 and installed
it on my WinXP system to see what it was like. Now I want
to uninstall it, but it doesn't appear to have an
uninstaller and is not listed in Add/Remove Programs. The
help files won't open, so if the instructions are in
there, I can't read them. Can anybody give some guidance
in how to uninstall this safely? Thanks!

Stephen you will have to remove it manually.
That was before the time of programs that would UN-install.

So I gathered. Can I just delete the MSPUB directory tree?
What about the files it dropped into my Windows and
Windows\System directories? Is it safe to assume that they
did not overwrite anything important? (I haven't seen any
adverse effects from having them yet, but who knows...)
Thanks!

AFAIK, Publisher 2.0 didn't do that. Windows 3.x programs were surprisingly
self-contained compared to today's programs. The only file it may have
dropped is a file called MSPUB.INI

According to the README.HLP file (the only help-type file
I can open), three files were put in Windows, ten in
Windows\System, and a bunch more in eight subdirectories
of Windows\msapps. I looked in some of these and did not
see all the listed files, and saw some which appear to
have about the same ancient timestamps but are not in the
list, so the file list doesn't seem to be especially
reliable.
