When trying to open Pub 2000 everything is greyed out, can't close, have to shut down through task manager. I'm runnung Windows XP and Office 2000. Have tryed uninstall/reinstall and searched everywhere I can think of. Works at home just fine with the same basic setup.

When I go to start, microsoft publisher I get the same thing. Then I did a search for .pub and all of the different templates come up and I can get into them from there. Do I have this set up wrong??

Do you have Norton? Disable script blocking and maybe the Office Plug-in's as well.

What happens if you start your computer in SAFE mode and try the same
routine?

Yes it works then. I tryed disabling script blocking and nothing changed. I'm not sure where the office plug-ins are? What about trying in safe mode, what will that tell me?

H

Hamm

That is correct. I tryed disabeling script blocking and Office plugins in Norton, nothing.

So if you double-click a .pub it opens properly and you can work from that
point on?

(Just trying to understand everything.)

Do not meddle in the affairs of cats, for they are subtle and will piss on
your computer.
