I have Pub 97 and I just rec. information from a client
who used pub 98, and I can't open it. What can I do to
print the information? THe client is from England and most
likly used MSPub 98 purchased there (if that makes a
differance).
Thanks

Have the client save it as a Publisher 97 and resend. If the client cannot, send it
to me and I will convert it for you. Remove "my" to reply.

Well, my first suggestion would be to upgrade to the newest version of
Publisher that your computer will support. If you are using Publisher for
business you need to be somewhat current.

You can ask the client to send you the file as a .pdf or you could ask if
there is someone here who can save the file for you as a Pub 97 file. I
can't but I think maybe someone else in this group can. Smile and ask
nicely. ;-)

Good luck

Pub 98 cannot save as 97.

Ah, Brian, there are workarounds... David A. and I had this discussion many moons
ago.

But there is no File > Save As > Publisher 97 option as there is in
Publisher 2000 and newer to save back to Publisher 98.

I grant you that, but if one wants to convert a 98 to 97 it can be
done.

Well, that is true. I could also convert a Publisher publication to an Excel
worksheet if I really wanted to :)
