public outlook calandars in Entourage?

Hello group..
New mac user in an XP environment. Our college is run on a microsoft
exhange server and on my PC (and everyone elses) you can view others
calandars. I have managed to get Entourage to work for me for my own stuff
(mail and my calandar) but I cannot figure out how to view other users
calandars..Does Entourage not have this or have I just not figured out where
it is yet? Do I need to install service pack two for this? Our IT staff
are XP nazi's and won't support mac users so I am basically on my own trying
to get all this to work on a Mac..One thing I did find on the Windows
version of Outlook was a place for an address book provider which is a
different address than the mail server..I think that may be the problem..I
can't find in the Mac version where to put that..I am thinking if I could
figure that out, then my problem would be solved..
Thanks so much..
John

I had this problem as well (only my IT staff is 2000/XP nazi's). Open the
"Account Settings..." under the Entourage menu. Click on the server that you
use an press the edit button on the top of the dialog box. In the Edit
Account dialog box choose the "Advanced" tab. The first item is the Public
Folders server. If this is not correct, you will not be able to access other
people's calendars. For my network, the NAME of the server was needed in
this box. Entourage defaulted to the pathway NAME/Public Folders, or
something like that, which did not work.

If you get this right, you will be able to click the triangle next to the
"All Public Folders" inside the "Public Folders" at the bottom of your
folders list to access other people's calendars. The first time this is
activated, it may take quite a while to load all of the public folder data.
Drag the calendars you use often to your Favorites folder in the public
folders(this is like subscribing to that calendar).

Now that I have Entourage working with my public calendars, I have another
problem. I can create events on public calendars, but when I log out and
back in, I am not able to edit the events that I created. I can edit events
if I use the Windows XP computer that is using Outlook 2000, but this is
very inconvenient as I only use the Windows machine when absolutely
necessary. Does anyone have a solution to this problem?
