Publisher 2002 and 2003 can't open any files

Hi,
My Windows XP computer can't open any publisher files. If I go to file,
open. After selecting a file, Publisher would quit without any error or
warnings.
I alos tried to uninstall Publisher 2003 and install the older version, the
same thing happened.
