Publisher 2003 files lose Graphics when saved to 2000

I used Publisher 2002 to produce files for Publisher 2000 users
which has worked fine. However, when I save files as 2000 made with
Publisher 2003, then open with 2000, I get graphic place holders
with no graphics.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks!

Thanks Mary, you always provide valuable links.
OK, I presume that Publisher 2000 must require a specific image
format in order to display graphics? If so, what image format is
required, i.e., bmp, gif, jpg, etc? Maybe if I imbed the correct
format into the 2003 file, it will convert to 2000 and display?

Publisher 2000 will display any image format, it just doesn't compress them, so the
file can get pretty large. Save the images in .bmp, see if that helps. .gif images
are good, but you have to watch the re-sizing. The old .pcx format wasn't bad for
line art. Many moons ago it was about all you could use in Publisher, that and .cgm.
