Publisher 2003 installer starts when opening PDFs

Whenever I try to open a PDF Publisher 2003 installer
starts and asks for the install CD. I have checked
associations and they are correctly set for Acrobat. Any
ideas?

What happens if you cancel the Installer?

I have the latest version of Acrobat reader 6.0. The fix
for me was to UNINSTALL Publisher 2003. Who has the time
for these kinds of problems?
