Publisher doesn't have Autotext, do you mean AutoCorrect? Tools, AutoCorrect
options.

Once I create an autotext in Word I think it should be available in other
applications.
Call me crazy.

The two are entirely different programs that generally do entirely different
things. Word is your best bet if you need to do text that requires AutoText.
Publisher is a Desktop Publishing application, AutoText isn't really necessary.
