Publisher 2007 - apply my template to existing publication

Kathy Sabourin

I have some older publications that I want to apply a new template that I
created to. I saved the template in the default folder.

I clicked Format | Format Publication | Change Template. My saved template
doesn't exist when I search on it. The strange thing is that it does show
up when I first launch Publisher. I click on 'my templates' and it's there.

I have gone to Control Panel | Folder Options | View and selected the 'show
hidden files and folders' button.

Any ideas? Thanks!
Kathy

If you saved your publication as a template it will be in a folder similar to
this
C:\Users\<<user>>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates (Vista) It similar in XP.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

Thank you for your reply, Mary.

I have a template saved out in the folder you listed. The issue is that I
opened up an existing publisher file and I want to apply that template stored
out there to the file that I just opened.

When I try to do that, Publisher can't find that template.
