Publisher can not open file

I just saved a flle to both my computer and a usb. I closed publisher. 10
minutes later "publisher can not open file" from either source. I am using
Window 7 version. Any suggestions?

Are you using Publisher 2007? Have you applied the service pack? There is a
hotfix if your error appeared after the service pack update.

Hello, I tried to do a fix and an update, from microsoft, but the update is not recognizing that the program is there. Everything that was available, was older than Windows 7...Anymore suggestions, I need this file...! Thanks

Try a different default printer.
What version Publisher are you using? Did you try opening the file in safe mode?
Did you go to the web site I suggested; did you go through the troubleshooting
steps?
