publisher crashes when trying to insert pictures after updates ins

I recently installed all current updates for Office 2003 for a friend and now
they cannot insert pictures/clip art in publisher, outlook without the
programs crashing. Everything was fine b4 installing all the updates.
Anyone have any experience with this problem.

Any help is appreciated.

Do you get an error?
Compact the Organizer, tools, compact.
Is the video driver up to date?
Slide the adapter acceleration down, right-click the desktop, properties, settings
tab, advanced button, troubleshoot tab.
If this solves your issue, go to the adapter manufacturer's web site and look around
for an upgraded video driver.
