I have a publisher file that is at least 40B and I am not
able to open in with Publisher 2002. Has any one seen
this problem before and it there a work-around?

thanks

What version is the Pub file? And why doesn't it open? What happens? 40mb is
a small file for Publisher.

I created the file with Publisher 2002. Any time I tried
to open it publisher restarts and returns an error MS
publisher cannot open the file. The previous version of
the file which is about 5MB opens fine. I cteated the
file on one computer with 256MB of ram and it seems to
open fine but I transfer the file to another computer with
512MB of Ram and I cannot open the file from that other
computer. Both computers have the same version of
Publisher (2002). Is there any settings in Publisher to
accomodate large flies?

Publisher can handle 2 gigabyte files, so as I said earlier, your file is
TINY, so there is no ACCOMODATION needed.

1. Are you running Norton AV on either system?
2. Are you able to open the file if you restart the computer in SAFE mode?
3. How did you increase the file from 5mb to 40mb?
4. When you get the send error report, can you get the details and let us
know what the details of the error are?
5. Are you running Service Pack 3 for Publisher 2002 on both systems?
