How can I open Publisher 2000 files whilst using
Publisher/XP Office? I get an error message that reads
Publisher cannot open files from a different version. Any
help would be appreciated.

Are you running Microsoft Publisher 2002?
Are you or the original creator using Norton Antivirus?

Publisher only came with Office XP Professional on OEM computers, you
couldn't purchase the product retail. Can you send me a Publisher 2000 file
that is not working? (e-mail address removed)

I'm having exactly the same problem but with an older
version of Publisher. If anyone has an answer it sure
would be appreciated!

Try this, right-click the file you cannot open, properties, opens with... change and
point it to Publisher 2002.
