i have a saved document on my computer which i do not want to retype, there
are only a few parts i do not need and was wondering if it is possible to put
a line through the typed words. Saving Me from redoing the entire doc.

Sure...just create a line and place it anywhere you wish.

The Line option is in the left pane...just click it and drag
a line where you need it. The selected line can be nudged
into place with your arrow keys.

Just wondering why you cannot simply delete the unwanted text?
