publisher v2.0

Does anyone know how to uninstall Microsoft Publisher
v2.0. It does not appear in Add/Remove Programs. (I am
working with Windows 2000.)
I have both Publisher v2.0 and v2000 installed on the same
computer. I am not able to open anything in either
version. I imagine the problem started when the two
different versions were put on the pc simultaneously.
Others on the network (with v2000) are saving changes to
the .pub files in 2000 and when we try to open it on this
problem pc, it only give me errors. "Cannot open files of
different version."

Help!

Try installing Publisher 2.0 again, and then see if you find it in the
add/remove programs. --

Thanks Brian! Unfortunately I already tried this. It
didn't work like we thought it would. Any other
suggestions?

No, I'm not really sure how to do this. Is it pretty easy or involved?

In My Computer or Windows Explorer, click the Tools menu, click Folder
Options, and then click the File Types tab. In the Registered file types
list, click the file type you want to open with a different program, and
then click Change. In the Open With dialog box, select the program you
want to use, and then click OK. Click OK in the Folder Options dialog box.

Sorry Brian,
I guess I wasn't sure what you were talking about earlier,
but this doesn't work either. I tried this as well. Let
me know if you think of anything else. Thanks for your
help.

You mean you didn't know that Publisher 2.0 won't appear in Add/Remove
Programs?
Publisher 2.0 was designed for Windows 3.1, which didn't have an Add/Remove
Programs function. Therefore, it does not register itself with Add/Remove
Programs.
It may have an uninstall feature in the C:\MSPUB folder, or in the Microsoft
Publisher program group in the Start Menu.
Otherwise, you should be safe just deleting the MSPUB folder.

News to me! I never knew that. And I never used Windows 3.1.
