I cannot print anything in publisher 2003. I get "Cannot print to device
\\server\printer_name" message. Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

Obviously your printer is not setup correctly... This isn't a Publisher issue...

This is too funny. I wish everything was as easy as you might think it is.
Obviously your wrong. The printer prints just fine. The only problem is
when printing via Publisher. Thank you for your lack of research into this
problem.

How can Mary research into the problem? Hack into your computer and
interrogate your system?

If *you* had bothered to research as much as you seem to expect Mary to, you
might have noticed a message last month in this newsgroup from someone
recommending that the share name of the printer be identical to the local
name of the printer, and that both names should be less than 8 characters in
length. This may help. As might updating your printer drivers, checking
your firewall options, or mapping the printer to an LPT port.

I apologize if I sounded a little uptight. OK alot uptight. I just thought
that an answer unlike the one Ed Bennett gave was very vague and non-helpful.
Thank you both for at least trying, I know it's not easy and me making it
harder doesn't help.

Thank you again,

Thanks Ed, However, I do believe I was too abrupt with the poster. There are volumes
of printer solutions on the Microsoft site, it simply wasn't one of the things I
wanted to sift through this morning.
I should memorize all the Knowledge Base support documents.
