Your post is not entirely clear; do you want your presentation to launch
automatically when the CD is inserted into a PC? As far as I know, that
cannot be done, or at least not using the standard disc burning tools
provided by Mac OS X. I would also imagine that the security mechanisms
on the PC would prevent any CD from auto-launching a file. What you can
do is save your presentation as a PowerPoint show (.pps or .ppsx), which
will then automatically start in fullscreen mode once you have inserted
the CD and opened the file manually.

Actually, the default under Windows is to allow auto-launching, though users
can disable this if they like. Most don't seem to.

This explains more:

http://www.phdcc.com/shellrun/autorun.htm

Once you're past getting something to autorun, you have to deal with "What
program is needed to autorun this, and is it installed?"

Most recent Windows versions of PPT can export the files needed for an
Autorun CD that can launch a presentation file and can include the PPT
viewer on the CD.

It should be possible to get a friend to create and test such a critter with
a "dummy" PPS file, then edit the AutoRun.INI file to point to any filename
you like, include that file when you burn the rest of the needed files to CD
and voi, as they say, la.

What you can

Hi Steve,

I've learnt something new today, thanks!

Any time. I'm mostly a Windows guy but I keep learning useful new stuff here
too, thanks to all of you folks. Much obliged, as always.
