Q: when drawing a room shape, how can I get integer inches?

I've inserted the room shape and when resizing it, I keep getting 8th
and 16th of inches, how can I set Visio to only give me exact inches?

Thanks :)

Managed to work it out, changed the Drawing Scale to Architectural -
1/2" = 1'0" and I can now only get integer or half-inch measurements.
Perfect! :)

Bill-
Instead of dragging the shape to a specific size, use the Custom Properties
window to simply enter the size that you want the room to be - then you can
type it in to whatever level of accuracy you want.

Hope that helps.

Another suggestion for you, from another member of the Visio team:
The room shape acts as any Visio shape and works to the accuracy Visio
allows -

To change the snap accuracy:

Tools>Snap and Glue, set Snap to settings to Ruler subdivisions only.

Hope one of these suggestions solves the problem.

Hi Jorie,

Many thanks for your advice on that problem of mine. Although I did
kinda get it done after a fashion in the end, I will use your
suggestions in future. :)

Best,

Bill
