Greetings,
After reading lots of documents about Microsoft Groove and
experimenting with it. I decided to dive in Microsoft Groove Server,
hoping that it might provide better solution for the corporation I
work in. However some question came to my mind as I was reading:
- If I have a server with Microsoft Groove Server, can other Groove
clients still use the internet to synchronize their accounts? Or do
they have to be connected directly to the server?
- Let's say that I want to setup a Groove Server for a big corporation
spanning over relatively large geographic areas. What are the benefits
of having a dedicated server with Microsoft Groove Server over using
the "auto server" provided with Microsoft Groove (the one that says
"this is typical for non-corporate accounts")?
- Finally I would like to know the use of Microsoft Groove Relay. I
understand that I have to install Microsoft Groove Server Manager on a
dedicated server for managing my files and accounts; however what is
the need for Microsoft Groove Relay? Can I install on the same server?
Or does it have to be installed on a dedicated one?
Your help is most appreciated,
