I have been getting in new IBM Thinkcentre computers with XP Pro
pre-installed, and I have been installing my new volume licensing of Office
2003 Standard. I am getting some quirky things happening with the
applications and want to get them resolved before I install it on any more
computers.
First of all, Excel absolutely will not save to our "snap server" (external
storage), it prompts users to copy or overwrite when saving a file. I have
even created a new test document, closed it, and went right back in, and it
does the same thing. It saves fine with the documents saved on our Novell
server. The second thing I've noticed is that on half of the computers I've
installed so far, when your are in Word and go to "save as", our email
application opens!! (GroupWise). I have looked through the settings and can't
find anything set up differently. I have been using my personal laptop to
hook up to the network for a year and haven't had any of these problems. It
is running XP Pro and a retail version of Office 2003 Professional. Can
anyone shed some light on this?
Thanks in advance
