random line on chart

There is some random line that appears on my gnatt
charts. I know there are supposed to be lines for to
show the separation of the major timescales however I get
a line that appears in between the major timescale
lines. I pretty sure it's not for some major task
because it goes right through a task. Any help would be
much appreciated, thanks!

Does anyone else have access to your Project file?
Someone could have changed the status date or they could
have inserted a progress line.

Hi Aimee:

The line may also be the vertical line showing the
current date in the Gantt chart.

You may hide the display of the current date line. Go to
Format --> Gridlines in the menu.
Find the Current Date in the Lines to change list.
Set the type to the top item in the list ( the blank
option).
Click OK and the line will be gone.
