Is the message that it's already activated
(i.e. working) or that it can't be activated
on this particular computer?
If the latter, and this is an OEM copy of MS Office,
OEM copies are licensed to the PC where it's first
activated but you can try using the telephone activation method
to explain the situation to the MS Activation tech.

I have re-installed office after a P.C. has died on me, when it asks to
activate, it tells me that the product has been activated. Is there away to
activate this, already activated product? >>
