Re-installing Office

Hi there,

I recently had to re-format and reinstall XP from my recovery disk after XP
became corrupted. I can now view my recovery partition which contains an
Office folder (2003) and all the exe's for Word etc.

If I try to launch them I get a message saying the operating sytem is not
configured to run the application. This suggests to me I need to run setup.
The trouble is their is no setup file present. I have no disk as the software
was pre-installed when I bought the PC. (Mesh PC)

I have tried to use Microsoft email support but they insist on a product key
which I cant find out without running the application and I doubt it would
still be there after a reformat.

Any ideas as to how I can get Office working again. I don't want to have to
pay again for something I have effectively already paid for.

Bit long winded I know but thanks for any help.

You should have received a cd with all the software when you bought the
PC.(you would have received the license keys for the software too). If you
did not receive it, then go back to the place you bought it from and demand
it. If you have lost it, then go back to the place you bought it from and
ask them how you would go about obtaining the software again.
