Re-ordering numbered tasks

I have about 100 tasks. I moved them around and numbered them. I created a
mask, but numbers don't automatically go in although they are in the mask.

I'm trying to imagine what you mean.
If this is about the formatted of the WBS field, go to Project, WBS,
renumber.
If not could you tell us what this is about?

Hi Robert,

When you created the mask did you select the option "Generate WBS code
for new task"?

If you try Project > WBS > Renumber does the new number appear?
