read only file??

hi! another problem with project 2007! It works fine and I can create new
projects and save them. But everytime, if I attempt to save a project file
from project 2007, it gives the error message: the file is read only, please
save as....
When I save the file under another name, the saving procedure works fine,
but the problem is, a have to give a new file name every 10 minutes I attempt
to save...
However, when I look at the file using the explorer, there is not write
protection on it.... What to do?? thanks! franz

Hi Franz,

I am unable to reproduce the error you are seeing with Project 2007 -- I
am able to create, save, close, open, edit and save files created in
Project 2007 as well and files originally created in Project 2003.

Have you installed the Technical Refresh for Project 2007?

I don't see any mention of the problem you are seeing on the Microsoft
Feedback page for Project 2007. If installing TR for Project 2007 Beta
2 does not resolve the problem you may try posting the error to the
feedback page below. You will need to sign in to the page to be able to
post feedback.
